Talking about hardness, I killed my first Orc Elite when I was level 6 (hit and run and repeat) and could take out a normal Orc Warrior in real close combat at level 10 I think. My point is, that you have to adopt your technique for every creature type. And experiences from Gothic I can really help, especially when kiling the known types of animals (bloodfiles, lurkers...)
