I did the quest without experiencing any bugs. Did you try going underwater when you're at an indicator arrow, and not simply remain on the surface of the lake ? As soon as the fish'll spot you, it will attack. |

i am a lizard and i breathe underwater, i have been everywhere i can go. no fish
this happened earlier, and the fish seemed to be stuck in a rock, then he jumped and i killed him. this time i almost killed him, prolly 70% damage, and poof.. gone. out in the middle, no rocks. i think its a bug, or its a curser bug, but it seems to be working fine on other quests. any1 else having this problem? |

Maybe it is a bug. One thing: have you noticed that when you kill a slaughterfish its body floats up to the water's surface ? Maybe you're still underwater and can't see the dead fishes ?
(I also found a fish stuck between two rocks, it was the easiest kill !) |

Well I still have a few scales to go, but I've not had any real problems with this quest. It's just very time consuming!! _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

I have this problem too. I swim to the green arrow. No fish on the surface and no fish under water. I know I am right on top of it because if I move an inch, the green arrow shoots behind me.
Ive tried reloading the game. I've tried moving to a "Loading area..." waypoint and back again. I even tried travelling far away and walking/swimming all the way back.
A previous fish was hard to find because it was nearly transparent under water. I couldn't see what I was swinging at. Until, I surfaced a bit and saw the spikes on its head.
So, for the current "fish" I tried swimming all obr the area, swinging like an idiot, hoping I would hit something. Nothing.
Disappointing. I was hoping for the loot. |

Don't forget, the fish swims too and isn't just waiting in one place for you to kill it!! _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

Bug Revision: Not missing fish... Backseat driver fish |
|
Then, I suppose that is one tricky fish. It keeps swimming to the opposite direction I am looking. Fast too, because I'm spinning around like a fool trying to find it. But, at least it likes me... it's not biting... and I'm one sexy peice of bait! |

Tedious quest this one but an awesome reward
When I ran away from one of the fish to heal up it wasn't on the green arrow but somewhere near where I had been fighting it. I had to swim around a bit to find it. I guess the green arrow is kind of buggy and sometimes doesn't point to where the fish is.
So best help I can give is to swim in a spiral out from the green arrow point until you find the fish. |

Ah. I guess that could be the case. Too bad I can hold a thimble worth of breath. Think the fish will attack if I stay at the surface?
Oh, and does everyone get the visual bug where there is a part in the transition from surface, to under-water where the water isn't murky, but crystal clear? Just a nVidia issue, or what? This quest would be a lot easier if the water was that crystal clear all the time! |

I'm now having a problem finding my 11th fish. In desperation I tried a cheat code to transport me to its location; NOTHING. No fish and swimming all around has provoked NO attack, whereas with all 10 previous ones, once I got to its area, the fish attacked. I think there must be a random spawning bug here. _________________ If God said it, then that settles it!

Here's some stuff I tried and I ended up finding a fish and completing the quest...
1) Leave the area past a "Loading area..." checkpoint
2) Switch your quest
3) Procedd through a few more loading checkpoints
4) Switch back to your Slaughterfish quest
5) GO back to the lake
6) Cross your fingers
Even after doing this, it still wasn't where it was supposed to be... But, I kept swimming around and found it in the shallows (where I had looked several times before). I killed it, looted it, and then the next waypoint appeared. A couple more times the waypoint was wrong, but I was able to find the fish... and was more careful about keeping track of where it was while fighting.
Good luck |

The fish spawn under the lake bed, and inside of rocks...
It's a nightmare...
But you can leave and comeback... leave and comeback, leave and comeback as stated above... You will eventually get all 12...
