Gothic II Event - New Game Facts - New Pictures! |
|
Today JoWooD and Piranha Bytes' Mike Hoge presented an early copy of Gothic II to a collection of representatives of online game magazines and fan sites. The 'First Impressions' article will be up soon; in the meantime you'll find the updated Gothic II Facts page at GothicDot. Today's updates are marked in yellow. Enjoy! _________________ Jaz

hey i have a question, when you nock somebody down and their on their stomach can you perform a finishing move that actually goes with the way the charactor is laying dow, in gothic the person would always flip on the back, and with blunt or axes is the finish specialized oh and can you get helmets. thanks _________________ one who slays monsters must caution that he does not turn into a monster himself, he who gazes into the abyss to long, the abyss begins to gaze into him |

There are helmets, but they aren't separate pieces, they belong to a set of armor. And about the finishing move: I haven't seen that, so I don't know. _________________ Jaz |

Thats a lot of new facts! Thanks!
Almost everything sounds good but for me...
-No acrobatics skill? Aww c'mon it was fun.
-Inventory. I would have to see it but it sounds that Gothic I inventory
was better. There is something about configuring it? How much it will
be configurable?
I want Gothic II arrr!! _________________ =Member of the RPGDot Shadows=

Acrobatics skill was fun, but it won't be implemented in GII unless somebody changes his mind . The new inventory looks very good... simple and practical. Remember all the hassle with trading in GI? If you want to you can configure the inventory to look like the old one. At least that's what I was told . _________________ Jaz |

I hope someone will change his mind!
It was a fast way of traveling and I loved jumping from cliffs.
I'll propably get to like the new inventory but is it "full screen" ?
- If so then I wont see our hero drink potions and eat stuff! _________________ =Member of the RPGDot Shadows=

And who wanted to know this? Wait... who was the one who found this out, and what else did he/she try doing with the sheep? _________________ Erb Duchenne |

Well, about the sheep... it was Mike Hoge's idea to introduce us to Liesel the sheep . As for the rest.... I'm afraid you'll have to find out for yourself .
Krzychu: The inventory wasn't full screen, and it was transparent. You could see what was behind it. And as I said, you could configure it so it was at the side. _________________ Jaz |

Well there is a mistake in the facts. In a recent interview the developers said that there WILL be a console version of Gothic 2. So please correct it or psot the link to the new announcement saying consoles are out |

Well, yesterday on JoWooD's Gothic II event Esther Manga (JoWooD PR) said that no console versions of Gothic II are planned, and Mike Hoge of Piranha Bytes didn't object. No link needed - I was there. Sorry, nasos. _________________ Jaz |
