Mage of Glacern

OK I am now in Glacern. I have about 14000 money. I found 2 guys in Inn. One of them is a mage with quite high level (9), but when i recruit him, he cant do any usefull spells...only the simple ones... What's the problem? Do i need to buy something that he started to use his magical powers. ?

Sounds like somebody didn't read the manual!!!

Anyway, what you have to do, is give him a spellbook (he should already have one), and then put spells in it. Certain spells require him to be a certain level for them to be used. The TWO (2) best ones that he can cast, put in the uppermost slots in his spell book (click on the book in his equipment box to display the spell list). These will be his primary and secondary spells. I don't know why there are even two options for the buggers... You can only use one at a time.. Maybe more convenient.. Whatever the reason...

I uninstalled the game and I don't think I can ever bring myself to play it again. I hope you enjoy it more than I did.

Sounds like Somebody didn't understand the question.

I give him a spellbook and he has smoe spell in it but all of them are red He can only cast the spells that non-mages could do too. so what's the problem? I know that spells require level of the mage. My mage is in level 9 of war magic and the spells require only 3 or the 5 of war magic.
