I read in the codes that by typing in: zfogzone it will give me a 'practically infinite range of vision'. I'd like to try that out and see if my machine can handle it. I've searched thru all 'marvin' mentions that I can find and I haven't come across how to actually void this if I don't like the results. I'm probably missing something simple here, but I would appreciate anyone's help. Thanks. |

It is in your Gothic.ini, back this file up before you even think about editing it.
Located in your \System directory. |

Well, I found no mention of the phrase 'zfogzone' whatsoever in the gothic.ini file. Actually, I checked there before posting. I used Ctr-F to search for it and found nothing. Do you mean that I should actually *add* that line somewhere (anywhere) in the gothic.ini file? Thanks. |

In the Gothic.ini file (near the top) there is a value called "sightValue". This can have a value of 0-14. The default is only 4. Take it to 14 and see if your machine can keep up! _________________ imposterAZ

I just checked and I already had it set at 14. Still get fog in the distance. My machine runs fine. I tried the zfogzone command in marvin and it gives even further visibility, but the only way to make it stop is to *not* save the game, exit and re-load. There must be some way of reverting back. Is there another code sheet somewhere for marvin that might have more info? Thanks. |

Yes as far as I recall, if you hit the fog distance key F2, F3 and F4 returns to those preset levels, but the console must be off to do it.
COuld have sworn that znofog was in the Gothic.ini maybe I am thinking of Gothic 1. |
