Arx Fatalis

Best first person game I've played in a long, long time. Beautifully done graphics and sound pull you into the world of Arx immediately. The unique system of majic gives you endless ways to use it, and makes the replay value high, just for the fun of trying new things. There are parts of the game that make you jump in your seat. And some parts that make you laugh out loud. It is a wonderful world to loose yourself in, but don't forget you must save the world before it is too late.

Excellent game. For the first time I found it easy to use magic - no complicated scrolls, sleeping to 'learn' spells, levels of spells or pressing madly to get the spell to happen. You drew the symbols and it happened. Arx Fatalis drew me in straight away with it's puzzles as well as it's fighting. I liked the idea of cooking and eating, but think that sleeping could have been added as well.
The only complaint I have is that it was rather difficult to figure the next step in the game. There were no real clues which direction you should head in next.
