damsel in distress

I am deep into the game and did something stupid. Not thinking I needed the key that gets you out of the rebel camp, I dropped it somewhere to fit other items in my inventory. IT was not until later that I realized I needed it to get back into the rebel camp to complete part of the game. I tried to go back and find the key but no luck. My question is, does anyone know if there is another way to get into the rebel camp or finish the game without that part. I still have to give the shield to the woman there.

If anyone has any tips or ideas please let me know.

dumb luck

I guess I will have to go back further in the game to redue things and save the key. Not really looking forward to re-doing things but I would like to finish the game in the near future. Not sure what else I could do. Thank you for trying to help.

One possibility, is to email Julien Roby at Arkane. He has been very helpful to people in the past in fixing things like that. If you are technical, or know someone who is, you can probably find the key in its file and put it into the game where you are. I'm not sure what editing tools are available for doing that. Tech support on the JoWood boards might know!!

I will try

I am not sure how to look for the key but I think I will email him again. I did once already for a game bug and he gave a very quick response. It has to be much better than walking all over the game and looking on the ground. That would be just silly. This is the only game I am playing right now but I can find something to do on my down time. -)

Thank you both and Arx team

I went ahead and email Julien and he took care of my problem quickly. This was the second time I needed help and he quickly solved my problem and I am back to enjoying the game once more.

Thank you both for trying to help. I did have to go into my files to add the key. Thank goodness my husband was around to do it for me. I would have been lost.
