I never drink alcohol and i dont intend to: as they say in the matrix: its good for oiling machines and killing braincells. And yes, i know that quote didnt talk about normal alcohol but i think of it like that. _________________ One blade good, two blade better |

This holidays caught me in full throttle But They finished and now I am sober again. _________________ The ability to quote is a serviceable substitute for wit.

I've somewhat loosened up about substances since I last posted here. I've had some beer and other alchohol before and it's not that bad, as long as you can keep it under control. A girl at the last party I went to got really drunk and was yelling at the top of her lungs "Who wants to fuck me?!" It was really pathetic. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

well that is the possitive as well as the negative side of alchohol, the more you drink the less your personal brakes will stop you
I love to be tipsy, but not drunk. but lately I don't go often enough to a pub anymore _________________ Want to become a vampire? a warrior in the battle between vampires and werewolves?

I personally prefer weed to alcohol. I mean, the stuff's hard to drink (I tried just a tad of Tequila and it atually hurt)! Plus when you're high you think stuff is funny and it's an enjoyable experience. When you're drunk you piss and crap in your pants. When you're high you get sleepy as an after effect. When you're drunk you get hungover as an after effect. Plus I don't really like the taste of most alcoholic beverages. Smirnoff Ice I do like. But other than maybe some beer, I don't really like alcohol.
Not saying I don't like alcohol or I disapprove of people who drink it (if it floats your boat, go for it), I just haven't gotten into it. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

Well, all things in moderation you know
Grampa Sam is past 90 and the old boy has had a nightly cocktail for as long as my Mom can remember, and he may be going a bit senile, but otherwise he is holding up pretty well physically. Just dont go crazy and down a 6 pack a night and youll be ok with a little nightcap i think ='.'=
Mentally, different substances do different things to people. Pot wires me, doesnt tire me, and it makes me pretty paranoid! It riles me up, but I get so mentally dopey it's like Im "all dressed up and nowhere to go". All ready to do something, but I cant figure out what it is. I smoked it quite a bit when I was in the teens and 20-21-ish, but I just got tired of being in a perma-haze after awhile even when not smoking the stuff. It has a cumulative mental effect if you use it regularly. You know, get all the way to the video store and have forgotten the video I was going to return. Lock my keys in my house, my car, forget my wallet all the time. Be ready to say something, then forget what im going to say. Screw things up left and right at work. Then be paranoid as hell if I smoked alot, was sure the cops/feds/anonyous enemies were out to get me. I dont mean like some major dossier on me or being "watched" or somthing, just a general paranoia of all cops, and thinking that car is an unmarked car, etc. I used to drive without car insurance, and for a while, without even a driver's license, so paranoia was a big enemy of mine. Id also suspect people I knew for years or my girlfriend of ludicrous things, then later wonder what the hell I was thinking. The fog lifted after I stopped smoking it so much, and I eventually just quit it altogether.
I drove like an idiot on the stuff, it didnt impair me, but it screws up my judgement and reaction time. Any drug can be dangerous, but I think the biggest factor of all is how each individual reacts to it, and the sheer volume of it. There isnt a whole lot of things that are truly "harmless", water can kill you if you drink enough of it _________________ “Then away out in the woods I heard that kind of a sound that a ghost makes when it wants to tell about something that's on its mind and can't make itself understood, and so can't rest easy in its grave, and has to go about that way every night grieving.”-Mark Twain |

I don't smoke it that often (mainly for the reasons you mentioned), and I don't really notice a difference with myself. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

You'd notice a difference if you video-taped yourself while you're high and then watched it when you're not. _________________ Freeeeeeedom! Thank heavens it's summer!

I didn't mean when I am high (I definitely notice a difference then). I meant in between highs (you know, normal life). _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!

Aye, but what's your base line (control group in science speak)? If your mental condition is slightly shifted you might not notice since it is since you are examining yourself from a slightly shifted position.
You have to ask friends and or family for feed back to get a true-er picture. _________________ =Member of The Nonflamers' Guild=
