Ok, here are my specs,
1.7ghz Intel
512megs ram
Windows ME
Soundblaster Live!
Visiontek Geforce3
The game hiccups constantly and the audio stutters as well. I have all the lateset drivers for my stuff and have even reinstalled. Plus the shadow of the main character appears and disappears in a very distracting way. Gameplay is just choppy as heck. Any ideas? Should I wait for the patch? |

You should have zero performance problems with such a machine.
Afaik the visual issue with "classic" GeForce3 cards are solved under Win9x. Search the forum for the correct driver version. I guess it was Det.22.80
-Disable sound to find out if the SBLive! causes trouble.
-Run DXDiag.
-uninstall, run defrag, reinstall.

Iam have the same problems wit hthe game hiccuping during play, it appears to be caused by the hard drive accessing during play, the hd ever so slightly comes on and my game jerks or freezes for a split second. i have a 1.33/gf3/384ddr and my virtual memory is nearly 1 gig. So i dont think its a ram problem. Anyone have any ideas? i does the same thing in 98se iam curently running 98/xp duel boot system.
thanks for any help |

Even with 'conservative swap file usage' enabled?
Are you sure you have enough free RAM and no other tasks running in the background?

I also have a Visiontek gf3 with XP drivers and a SBlive platinum. I'm getting generally lower-quality graphics than I expected, plus shadows and torches are constantly flickering (visible/not visible, rather than true flickering light). I continue to have video corruption when I return to the windows desktop after exiting. |

I have the same trouble with the stuttering sound. I have played at least a dozen + games in the last year without an issue like this. I have a maxi-muse sound card by guillemot that uses the Yamaha sxg50. I havent ran into this since the old DOS games in win95 that wouldnt run under windows OS.
Does anyone have help here? |

A patch is needed. Who knows when its coming out. I went from a geforce 2 to a ati aiw 8500dv and running on xp because it wont load on 98 or me. Very smooth...better than my old geforce on xp and i did not need to disable fog...
good luck guys. |

I've got stuttering and stalling problems too, are there any patches for this game at all? My stalling problem is so bad that i don't even bother to play much any more. |

At least it runs now.
Is it stable? And please describe what exactly stalling means.
Your system specs could also be useful.
