I learned the taking trophies skill from bosper the bowmaker but all I know is skinning furs.
1. How am I supposed to learn how to take the claws or teeth from animals?
2. Is this something I can't learn til later or what?
3. Do field Raiders have any trophies?
I've killed the following animals and got nothing.
Field Raiders, Bloodflies, and a lizard. |

You have to learn taking specific trophies from different NPCs. Grom near Onar's farm, Gaan near Bengar's farm, Talbin in the Vom not far from the castle, a fellow whose name escapes me also in the Vom near the dragon in the rock fortress, The fellow up near the black troll whose name also escapes me. They each teach different skills, each costing 5 lp. There is also a dragon hunter in ch 4 who can teach stuff. And finally, yes you can learn to take field raider mandibles.
PS you might try searching the Gothic 2 spoiler forum for some of this information, since I can't remember specifics right now.

One is, if you play merc and learn shadowbeast horns, it's worth quite a bit of xp.

I think it's 250 gold and 250xp for one horn, but (sadly) there isn't an unlimited amount of Shadowbeasts

Yeah, true, there's like 13 or 14 but it gets you that much closer to next level and the money isn't bad when going after the final armor.

There is enough money in Gothic, and you don't even notice at lv30 if you have 3000xp more.

Actually there is (with a little bug). Give the 13-14 horns to Buster and after that kick his ass, he will have the horns in his inventory and afterwards he will not be mad or anything. Just give the horns again and again and again. Everytime you'll get the exp and money.

Well there is another bug.If you are a paladin learn how to collect dragon blood and when you sell it to a dragonhunter in the castel you beat him and sel it again to him |

and btw if u play gothic 2 addon then those trophy skills will take lesser LP than the plain Gothic 2 , mostly 1-2 LP per skill but in Gothic 2 everything was 5 LP |
