The Fall: Screenshots @ Duck and Cover |
|
Duck and Cover managed to get their hands on three new screenshots from Silver Style's recently announced post-apoc game, The Fall. Very nice! |

Does anyone understand combat in this game. After reading the interviews and everything else I still don't know if it will be like JA, or Freedom Fighters, or what. |

Silver Style chose RT combat, due to commercial considerations. But their true love is TB. So they´ll implement various optional devices to slow combat down or give the player more control: 15 'stop triggers' (see thread in General CRPG), 15 'behaviour sets' for party members (same thread), waypoints and 'order stack'.
If you have questions you can visit the official forum. The devs post in it every day.
Combat will be pretty strategic. The devs discussed The Fall in a German JA2 community for many months before it was officially announced.
The game itself is an RPG. The focus is on quests and chars, not on combat. Biggest influences are Fallout, JA2 and Gothic (3D world, believable NPCs with daily schedule, story driven but enough freedom for exploration). _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |
