| GII English version official release date: Q 2/2003 |

To avoid confusion and to avoid the creation of multiple threads regarding possible release dates, here's a sticky one displaying the CURRENT official release date for the English language version of Gothic II in its title, official meaning the date given by JoWooD.
As soon as a new date is announced, the date in the topic title will be updated. Right now the offical date is Q1 2003.

When is the official release date?

Q1 is Quarter 1 - as in Jan, Feb, Mar. And that is the Official release date at this point.  |

Actually, that's a good thing... Most game websites predict G2 is gonna be released in April, which is in Q2... |

Since Mar 31 is the end of Q1, let's assume Mar 31 as the release date...

The game has not gonegold yet for internation release since they wish to include the new 1.30 recent patch to the game. We will get the bug free version, poor german beta testers have the original unpatched version.
I do think it will be going gold soon with the lastest patch release, also by releasing in Q1 or Q2 has to do with how much to bolster sales spike to help out which quarterly sales revenue figure. Thus end of March, or most likely it will be April.
I will come back later in a month or so since I just got bored to death waiting for this game to come out. Master of Orion3 and Freelancer and alot of good big titles coming out, PB may not want to compete for the game dollar, but alot more good game are also releasing in April...
Or maybe the political situation is causing a delay. Heard of any trade embargos? After the war is over I guess....
