| Easy killing on the Siege engin |

In the Valley of Mine, the only way to in or our the castle is use the broke siege engine.
 But do you know use the siege engin can also use for a tricking the Orcs.
Somehow only the hero can go up the siege engine, nothing esle can.
To take this advanatge, you only need to run into some Orcs and have them chase you to the SE. once you are on the SE, draw your Bow/CrossBow and shoot that the orcs, they can never come up to the SE no matter how close you stand.
To make this works better, you better have a marksman leve in Bow or crossbow. you can gain a lot of XP this way, cheap but kinda fun. |

This is a well known exploit. You´ll grow too strong too early if you kill all the orcs.

What if you kill all the Orcs the good ol' fashioned way; with the sword in your hand and feet on the ground?

That's what I did (feet on ground, orc slayer in my hand). Killing the orcs around the castle has been the most fun part of the game so far. It's kinda like a puzzle game. How can you pull them, split them up, and kill them before they mince you? It was great.
The lizardmen have been almost as much fun, though. |

Yeah, but lizardmen are always the same. Orcs have different kinds that act differently. So you gotta watch it.

u dont need this ram to kill orcs...
i killed almost all orcs sieging the castle with only sword ,and it was when i entered the valley of mines
u just need to lure one orc at safe distance from others and stand still swinging sword from the left to the right ,stupid orc will try to get close to you to hit you ,but he will be hit by your sword...
maybe they are very strong ....but stupid as well ...
and so what u will be too strong earlier? you are the hero

Most of the time I ever tried to lure one away I got two or more. Once got like about ten after me, siege engine was great then.

Once I came back to valley of mines after killing all dragons I just did 5-8 rain of fires...all orcs around the castle...dead

I find the Orcs in Gothic 2 to be much tougher than the ones in Gothic. That's a good thing too, 'cause I could kill off the whole orc town by myself in Gothic, but I can't kill all the orcs around the castle in Gothic 2.

Here's a tip for anyone that becomes a mage. If you want to kill orcs around the ram, the best way is to go up the ram log, stand there and shoot orcs with a fire arrow rune or ice arrow rune or whatever you may have. Then when you get to a higher circle of magic (3 i think it is), definately learn ice block! Just lure one orc warrior or shaman (you can try elites but...i didn't have much luck  ), freeze them and just keep slashing them with your sword till they die (make sure theres only one, you are 2 weak now to take on 2 or more). I killed maybe 20 or more orcs like this in chapter 2! Get's you lots of xp  ! When you are circle of magic 6 just keep casting spells like rain of fire and wave of death and they will all die  .
