Mages Guild vs Telvani - any opinions?

Is anyone joined both the MG and the Telvani house?
If you did, how does it unfold as the game evolves?
Any conflicts or problems with the reactions from NPCs in both?

Thanks in advance for any info

Do you feel ethical?

It all depends on how ethical you want to play it.
The snooty bint who runs the Balmora Mages guild wants you to kill all the Telvanni Councillors for a quest, although you will be about Rank 7 in the guild before she asks you to do so. Of course thats not very nice, but you ARE evil if you playing a Telvanni - AREN'T you?
And you don't have to do it either - you could just skip her quests and go to another quest-giver but, and this is where I am not so sure as, I never got this far so I haven't tried either route yet, ...but the other route means you can't bump off the old mages guild head which is always fun (although he will succede to you).

I hope that you can kill Trebonius (the old mages guild head) after you get guildmaster though (with getting expelled from the guild obviously) because he is a pompous looking git. And I really can't kill off the Telvanni councillors, even though they wouldn't mind according to their charter, because I am planning one of them. Well the supremo actually - and I am nearly there.
