Though I'd like to hear other opinions, I've heard it often expressed in this forum that strength and dexterity potions should not be used until your character is at 100 in each category. I think that depends on your chosen path. As a warrior, many would like to master both sword and bow. To do that requires at least 16 levels worth of skill points. Add to that lockpicking ( At least trained) making 17 levels. To achieve 100 Strength and dexterity would require another 18 levels of skill points, putting you at a healthy level 35, which by then, you are sunning yourself on some beach because you've already broken the barrier (Most of the time you're ready for the final confrontation before level 31) This then makes the potions irrelevant anyway. Just a thought... I say bottoms up!

I waited until I had 100 base str before taking any elixirs, before talkin to horatio... thinking that I'll need all my str to fight the sleeper...turns out you dont even fight him...and that 100 str (raised magically or through points) is more than enough to finish the game with, so I'd say drink em as you find em...there's just no need to be Uber when getting to the end, imo
