it's real nice of PB to be all patriotic and stuff, but for me the german version will just take away a huge part of the game, cause i can speak german quite well, but still i would enjoy the english version more and i'm certain that i won't have the patience to wait for the english release.

Last word on North America is that the negotiations are over and the contract needs to be checked by a third party. It´s obvious that the new management wants to be through with it before the shareholders´ meeting in a few weeks.

I did not know they were negotiating for North America. I thought it fell through. Thats great news for me. Hopefully there will be some news soon about the results and that will mean that PB is serious about the North American market. Maybe it will also lead to an earlier english release. (Hopefully the same time as European release date or close to it.) Thanks for the update Gorath.

G3 will come out in Q1/2006, this means late February or March. Localisation will take some time, due to the size. G2 had 9 hours of voice acting, G3 will be bigger. My educated guess would be an international release in June. Simultaneous worldwide release would require more manpower and resources than PB and JoWooD have.
The first SpellForce and the add-ons came with no delay or only a short one to the UK and France. I bet this is the target they´re aiming for.
All pure speculation, of course.

Didn't they record the English and German version of Gothic 2's voice acting simultaneously?

No. The English voice recordings were done later in London.

We need to wait more than a year for it to come out, that's sad ...

Well x-d, better this way than announcing it to be out soon and constantly changing the release date backwards, that would be much more nerve-whacking

And we can play the german G3 demo while were waiting. That will come out near the german release of G3, I guess.
It's better than nothing.

Did the German G2 demo come out before G2? I can't remember.
