Unfortunately, I don't mean a PCI Express card, either! I'm talking the old-school, slow as a turtle PCI slot stuff.
So, to your guys' and gals' knowledge, what is the best and fastest PCI video card for PC gaming available? After a bit of looking around, I've come up with either the ATI Radeon 9250 w/ 256mb, or the GeForce FX 5500/5700. There could very well be other and better ones out there, and if there are, I'd you like to tell me!
Looking at various forums, quite a few people seem to really look down on the FX5200s, FX5500s, and even FX5700s (which are hard to find). It seems that for those lower to mid-range video cards, ATI apparently made the better product. But I'm no computer guru, so I couldn't say.
Any suggestions? _________________ "We'll go back in time to that mystic land

The Radeon 9250 is so far behind the curve that itīs no longer worth buying.
There are many different versions of the same nVidia chips. We need the exact chip name.
PCI graphics is dead. I would strongly suggest not to invest money in this. Are you sure this makes sense for your current PC? _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |
