| The RPGDot Games Server... Soon in this theater |

Not too long from now the RPGDot Games Server will go public. The resident admins on that server; Val and Corwin, will be the DMs for Neverwinter Nights, currently the only game that is available on the server when it will go live.
In case you are wondering when this wonderfull event will take place, I hope to have things up and running within a week or so.

The server Rules and FAQ as determined by Val and myself have been posted. If anyone has any comments or suggestions, please post them here quickly, so we can have everything ready for the public launch. We have installed a very large number of mods on the server, catering for all character levels and playing styles. There will also be one or more PW's running when there's no regularly scheduled game, so you can play NWN 24/7. If there's a mod you would dearly love to play, just ask; we may already have it installed. Enjoy!!

Just one thing: there is nowhere in name of forum or topics that this is all about NWN. It is somehow misleading, because in FAQs you get instruction how to join NWN session.
I suggest to have it in name of forum (if it will be long time only NWN), have it in name of topics (if we will have more than one game running) or simply state somewhere that currently NWN is up and running (if we will change actual game from time to time). |

As Myrthos says at the beginning of this thread, currently NWN is the only game set up on the server. I'm not sure if or when that situation will change, as I don't have access to the actual server to physically load another game onto it. Also, NWN is the only game which has DM access and control.
As to making any changes to the name of the Forum to reflect it being only a NWN server, that would be totally up to Myrthos. We hope to have a mod running permanently on the server so people can play at anytime. (One is actually running now) but as we have said, only NWN mods are currently available. Sorry for any confusion, it wasn't intentional.

If o.k. with Myrthos, maybe you could post a sticky the say for NWN only at this time, and then do a copy of what you just told Danicek. Then if that changes you could just delete the sticky. Poeple would see that right when they hit the threads at least.

I guess have to buy the game when the server's ready.Although I don't have free time(I can't spend all day in the computer I go out)but I'll try to find some in the weekends maybe  .
Anyway it's a good idea  .

You will need version 1.62 currently. Many mods now require both expansions and CEP. Some obviously don't. Those details will be advertised. Any updates to the actual NWN main on the server is outside our control.

On my way coming from the university I stoped by plaisio(it's a big store you know hardware,software...)and I bought it.I hope you won't take too long and I hope it'll deserve to play it.

You update to version 1.62 online. Best to install everything if you can. The server is already up and running practice mods. It's merely a question of organisation right now. You can organise your own group to play together in the current running mod and if anyone has a special request, make it here and we'll see if we can oblige.

You can try. We've had people play on dial-up before, so it should work. I'll leave something running after our regular Friday night game. Trying logging in to the server; you will find it in the server admin forum and I'll leave off any password. Let me know how it goes.

Dial-up isn't bad as long as you aren't hosting. If you run the game on the lowest possible settings and have a system that exceeds the recommended requirements of the game, then you shouldn't have a problem.
