| Having problem with the Map |
|
Ok, I'm in Vivec Arena, but my map is telling me that im somewhere north of Balmora. Somethings not right. Does anyone know how to fix that?

oh yeah, its only happening on 1 char and only with the world map.

this is completly normal. The whole map is split in cells, u have exterior and interior cells. Exterior are the ones you have to wait to load every few minutes after walking(pretty fast load). Those cells have to be next to each other for game to make sense. But interior cells can be anywhere, so when you actualy click on Open Door you are just clicked a button to telepor you to the building "who-knows-where". Also if you noticed coz of that interior is much bigger than building exterior |

im confused. are you saying that where i am in vivec arena might not actually be right under vivec?

BearishSun, I believe you are correct that an interior cell can be located anywhere, but I don't think that's what Fritobandito is experiencing. He says that this is only happening with one of his characters, so it sounds like when he's playing a different character, the map discrepancy is not there.
Can someone hop over to the Vivec Arena and check their world map just to be sure? (I'm at work, or I'd check myself).
Frito - do you have an older saved game with this character that you can go back to? It sounds to me like your saved game may have become slightly corrupted, as all other game files are common to all characters (I think).

ok i think it was just a problem with that area. when i got up to the arena wasteworks the map went back to normal. thanks for the help guys.
