I played DS for 13 hours now and I must say music is best I have ever heard in game.
Ussually I do not even notice that there is game in music in worst cases I notice it and I turn it off.
But this is first time I just stand in forest and listen to music (I do not walk because music can change).
I like
- many types of music (from big orchastra to simple single acoustic guitar)
- it never become boring or annoying
- it follows mood of scaneiros
- it follows situation in game (battle, not in battle).

I agree, the music is great, though not the best I have heard in a game. I think Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 takes the cake in this instance. But DS has some excellent music.

The best music in these type of games I found in D2 (Matt Uelmen's soundtrack). Actually it's the only thing I really like in D2.
