Hey everyone... I know this is a minor issue compared to all the other bugs but I have discovered that the footsteps volume on stone are 100% while everything else seems to be -200% ! If I turn up my volume from 50 to 75... I can hear them as they should be but then everything else is way too loud.
Also I think the orc and shadow beasts... well eveything should have footstep sounds but I can't hear anything. It is annoying to be running in the forest and get attacked from a huge silent monster.
Running WinXP Pro, Direct X9b, and a Pentium4/2.2ghz with 512mb ram.
I have an Audigy1 card using the latest beta Creative drivers. I have tried all the audio settings in Gothic2 ... no luck. It makes no sense... everything else is fine (except the volume level of ambient NPCs which is 75% too loud)....
I make more damn noise when walking stealthy than running... arg...
One of the best games ever and plagued with bugs and not fast enough patches....

Re: Audio missing on footsteps?
Maybe its your Windows installation, or your sound card config. I have played the game for over 8 hours one day (yes... I have no human contact) and the game didnt crash or I havent noticed any bug (and I am a real bug finder
