Trading between ships

How do you do it? In space? In station?

I heard somewhere that you can buy that teleport doohickey and can teleport cargo from one ship to the next in space. But is there any other way? Well, beyond ejecting it from one ship and collecting with another.

In station you hit 'L' for landed ships, select your other ship, and 'x' should now be freight exchange instead of ship exchange.
