It's probably not worth the 20 LPs to learn elixer of strength/dex or 40 to learn both. But I have these goblin berries and dragonroots, and they're eating a hole in my pocket. Last time I played I just ate all of them. But if I hold on to them, there should be a time when the guy in the monastery basement will create these potions for a price, right? And is there a potion for king's sorrel or should I just scarf 'em? _________________ Mashed Buddha Symphonic and Improvised Electronica |

The mage in the monastery will never make such valuable potions for you. You can only get them by making them yourself (or finding them of course).
Remember that learning strength and/or dexterity becomes very expensive in the end, 4-5 lp to raise it one point. From that moment spending 20 points on making potions isn't so much anymore. Those 20 lp would give you 4-5 points of strength. Even if you make just two strength potions it will be better than learning strength.
King's Sorrels can only be found in the woods, etc. _________________ "Who are we to call this planet Earth, when it's clearly Ocean."

In fact it's 3 potions because a potion bring only 2 more points, the third point you can get it by eating the herb. |

Don't eat the king's sorrel, you need one for each permanent potion. I find it's best to learn one of the potions, dex or str and eat the other ones because it's hard to get more than 10 or so king's sorrel. That way you can get about 30pts of the one you choose and 10 of the other; not bad for 20 LP. |

yeah, don't eat it. The ,,mage in the monastery" won't make u potions, but u can learn them. (for mana, health, strenght dexterity increases) But if i remember correctly, u need king's sorrel for everything. So no matter what u wanna make u need it. And of course u can buy some in different places u know. It isn't too cheap, but it'll worth every coin |

How many permanent points do I get from one potion like that? 2? Should I wait til learning dex becomes too expensive to learn the potion skill? _________________ Mashed Buddha Symphonic and Improvised Electronica |

3 pts for dex and str, 5 pts for mana. Yes, it's best to wait as long as possible so you can use LP when it's cheap. Usually, around lv 28-30 I find I have a good collection of ingredients and extra LP to learn the formula. Then you can get an extra 30+ pts all at once which would cost 120-150 LP otherwise. |

Wise guy.
I believe that the maximum amount of potions you can make yourself is something like 9-13, don't know it exactly. In any case it makes spending those 20 lp really worth it. _________________ "Who are we to call this planet Earth, when it's clearly Ocean."

Most of the times I use all my King Sorrels for Strength potions of mana potions when playing a mage. After that I'm stuck with Goblin Berries which I can't use for potions because I haven't got King Sorrels, yes I eat them in that case. _________________ "Who are we to call this planet Earth, when it's clearly Ocean."

Who can teach me the perm. mana potion? I'm in chp 4 and have only explored about half of the mines area and have yet to take out a dragon. But I do have 16 king Sorrels. And roughly the same amount of Dragonroot and Goblin berries. |

Those folks were offering a mana potion but I didn't think it was the perm mana potion becasue I think the cost was only 5 lps as opposed to the 20 lps for the dex and strength prema potions.
I guess I'll visit those fine merchants, save and test it out. Thanx |
