Warlords Battlecry III: Review @ 1Up |
A review of 'Warlords Battlecry III' can be found at 1Up with a score of 7/10. Here's an excerpt:
It seems that the more complicated the Roman numerals after a game's title gets, the more inertia builds up in a series. Warlords Battlecry III remains an above-average game, but it feels more like an expansion pack than a true sequel. You get more races, more classes, more spells, a more involved campaign, the same gameplay, and less of the spark that its predecessors did. Where the first two Battlecry games tried to distinguish themselves in a genre dominated by Warcraft and Age of Empire clones, this latest installment simply rests upon the laurels of the past.

This review is right on. I'm at level 30 and still going, it's a long game. I'd rate it higher than most. The patch makes it a little bit different since I'm SP I 'm staying with the old version (1).Very playable for regular people on hard setting. |
