Sunrey investigation question ...

Why do I get dark side points for using force persude to get to the truth? It would seem that this is a reasonable action. If someone is with holding important information that might, or might not, shed light on a criminal investigation it would seem a perfect use of force persude. It's not like you are 'forcing' (hee hee) them to lie or misrepresent facts, or do something evil.

Can anyone out there explain this to me?

Personal liberties. You forced the information out of them. In a real life court this evidence would be inadmissible (in most countries).

If you want to be a light character, don't use force persuade. I know, I know, it sounds stupid, but just don't do it.

Well, IMHO you should play as you feel right for the situation, not the way the game forces you. After all you can get to the highest "Light" rating quite easily...

Yeah, that's what I was most likely gonna do ... BUT if the game (ie the Jedi Counsel) sees using the force in that manner as dark ... well then I am gonna think twice before doing it again!

Most force persuades are fine. The ones that aren't are usually easy to spot.

That case is deliberately not clear cut, though.

But let's also not forget that some of the light/dark awards are clearly misplaced too.
