Better than we were before... |

Hello again Morrowinders, long time no see.
It’s time once again for my bi annual delve into the world of Morrowind. Once more the call of the blade and bow quickens my blood and the lure of pointed ears pulls my hands to the dustiest corners of my games shelf.
This time though I find myself bewildered by the plethora of patches which have sprung into life since my last foray, all singing and dancing and promising new bells and whistles for the precious.
I’ve been through my magazine cover disks to see what magic’s I have inherited over these months and have found a good handful of patches ready to be applied.
So ideally I’d like to patch up to the gills before beginning again, but this time around I thought I’d refrain from installing “Tribunal” until I have made some proper headway in Morrowind itself.
So….. the questions are…..
1/Will I be able to install “Tribunal” (which I know in itself updates its mother program) onto a fully patched up Morrowind at a later date?
2/ Which version is Morrowind up to now?
3/ I see that “Tribunal” has its own patches as well! Erk!!... Help.
Thanks all

Hiya Badger
I played thru til endgame with just the original Morrowind, updated to v1.2.0722. Then went and got the GOTY edition and installed Tribunal on top of that, it was v1.3.1029 out of the box. Ive had no problems, in fact the performance seems to have increased a bit. Im almost done with Tribunal now, and have had no problems with my Tribunal updated to the most recent v1.4.1313 patch recently. I havent put Bloodmoon on yet, the suggested installation is Morrowind-fully update, then Tribunal-fully update, then Bloodmoon-fully update to latest.
Dont patch Morrowind anymore after putting Tribunal on tho.
heres the Bethesda dl page with latest patches-

So basically,
#1- Yes, play all the standard Morrowind you want, you can add Tribunal and subsequent updates later on no prob.
#2-The latest MW updated version is v1.2.0722. Do not install this update after you have Tribunal installed.
#3-The latest Tribunal update is v1.4.1313, and it seems to cause no bad mojo from what Ive seen. _________________ “Then away out in the woods I heard that kind of a sound that a ghost makes when it wants to tell about something that's on its mind and can't make itself understood, and so can't rest easy in its grave, and has to go about that way every night grieving.”-Mark Twain |
