I was wondering on who have you stumbled and who do you have in your party usually ? Also have you met anyone from KotOR I. in KotOR II. ?

***Minor Spoilers!***
You'll run into several people from the previous game.
Ones that will join your group:
T3-M4
HK-47
Canderous (Mandalore)
Other characters that don't join you:
Carth
Bastila
Revan (tomb events)
Malak (tomb events)
Master Vrook
Then you'll run across references and items for other characters, like Jolee's robe.
As for who I use in my group, well I usually have Visas and Mira or HK-47.
There are a total of 12 NPCs that can join you. Some are based on your PC's gender and dark-side/light-side leanings. For instance, if you a male, then you get Handmaiden. If you are female, then you get Disciple. If you are light-side, then you get Mira. If you are dark-side, then you get Hanharr.

I know of most of the things you said. I though that Mandalore was Canderous. Yet you don't notice right away because of the armor that can't be taken off. I missed Carth though. Can you or anyone else tell me where should I see / find Carth ?

To see Carth, you have to indicate that Revan was female.

I'm not too far into the game yet, so my party consists of T3, Kreia and Atton Rand.
Need I say that I'm playing as a goody-good lass? Hardly. I always do so my first time through a game if given the chance. And yes, I actually do like Atton  . Sure, so he's a whiner, too, but not half as bad as Carth!

I have seen Carth sending messages at Telos, and I said Revan was Male!!. I'm mainly using Visas and Handmaiden!! I still need one more part for HK47, then I'll give him a run too!! Enjoying the game immensely so far.

I told Atton that Revan was male but didn't find Carth anywhere on Telos anywhere so I'll give it a try next time saying that Revan was female. Its just so hard to find everything when you have to make decisions that effect the development of the game.
I usually stick along with Kreia and Atton as my characters especially now ...

... when I made Atton a Jedi so he's my #1 in my group.
And Kreia, she's in there to scold me on every action I make just to throw in some advice I don't really need. [I like what she learns you though  ]
Somehow I dislike Visas.

I went my first time through as He Who Helps Everyone too but somehow I felt very weak and force powers were not at all lethal so I relied on my lighsaber towards the end. On the other hand playing Dark Side is much easier I think.

Oh Dark Side is definately easier. Force Lightening is my favorite power. I have my other two Jedi in the party do Jedi support to buff my character, then I zap everything. Even taking the Force Lightening branch when you are light sided is worth it.
To actually meet Carth (not just see him in holograph form), choose to make Revan female. I also choose for Revan to be light-sided. Thus, I ran into Carth on Telos right near the end.

As for Kreia, well, don't get too attached to her. Never trust people who tell you that you can believe everything they say.

I didn't really get the point on how to really make Revan Light Side. I mean I know when Atton asks you about if Revan is male / female but I somehow missed where you decide if he is good or evil ... where is that ? [I completed the game twice already but I guess I didn't pay attention at the time I should  - Oh, Force Lightning is my favourite too.]

It's in the same conversation as the male/female conversation, which should be your first conversation with Atton. You basically have to say that Revan saved the Jedi and Republic. If you want Revan to be dark-sided, then say that Revan defeated Malak and went to Korriban to unite the Sith.

I would like to know if any of you experience the kinda trouble my friend gets...I'm getting the game soon and want to be prepared
He experiences party members that, with no scripts etc, will not engage in battle at times unless manually told to or made to....sort of like a AI Disabled error I got in Half Life 2 once.
Then he has issues with not being able to run it larger than 800x600
I seem to think that it might be that the latest games often require the lastest graphic drivers and he isnt...
Your input would be appreciated as I really enjoyed 1, and have been waiting long for this |

He should double-check what combat behavior he has the NPCs set on. I was hating Atton as a Jedi until I realized that I still had him in ranged mode. D'oh!

i think you have to be light side if you want to see carth.
At my third time through the game (as darkside instead of ligh) i saw some admiral cede instead of carth could be something else though...

Now that I'm (finally) through with my female/light side experience of KotOR II, I have to say my party consisted mostly (=whenever I could make the choice myself) of either Atton and Bao- Dur (I felt comfortable with my tech boys behind me), or of Mandalore and Disciple (somewhat like a tank squadron), or a mixture thereof.
My favorite character in the game was probably Zuka, the Mandalorian grease monkey. Whenever he had screen time, he had me in stitches... for no apparent reason... even when he wanted to suicide, though I doubt it was supposed to be funny. The Dxun Mandalorians in general were a riot.
