Getting low fps with decent system |
|
I'm only getting about 15-18 fps in cities, and not just in Balmora, but smaller towns like Peligiad and Seyda Need.
My system specs are:
AMD Athlon XP 2000+
512MB DDR SDRAM
ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 7500
Creative SoundBlaster Live
Running under Windows 98 Second Edition
DirectX 8.1
I downloaded the no-cd patch, and that has helped with the loading times, but otherwise it's the same as without it.
Also, I tried changing the video settings, but I got about the same performance wether I went up or down. There was only a small difference(5-6 fps lower) between 1024x768 at the middle view distance and the highest resolution and the highest view distance.
I tried updating all the drivers already. I always close all the programs running in the background before I start. I even tried overclocking the CPU, but that didn't even help.
I could use any help you can come up with. _________________ Don't be afraid to ask dumb questions, they're easier to answer than dumb mistakes. |

Your system is nice but the display adapter needs to be tossed out.
ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon 7500 is not something you should expect high framerates with.
Anyway, you can't expect high framerates in MW on any system _________________ =Moderator of General MMORPG talk forum=
