That would be me.
So I started over yet again, with great plans of conquest and bouyed with New Year's resolve to stick with it this time.
I complete the Mi Ton run and collect my Mercury and send it toward Argon Prime to get patched up while I hightail it up to Ceo's Buckzoid to pick up my best buy/best sell extensions before visiting the Goners. I've restarted so many times that I've got a pretty set gameplan thru the Antigone Memorial run. No need for thought--my autopilot's on autopilot. Couple hours of gaming in, and I finally make it to the Teladi dock.
Not enough cash.
WTF?
Hmmm. Maybe I don't usually boost the Merc as much as possible at Terracorp. I'll just grab a BBS mission or two until the Merc can sell off the Ecells I bought just like always. No worries, mate.
Still not enough cash.
WTF?
YOU FORGOT TO STRIP THE EXPRESS, YA FARGIN' IDIOT!
Back the the beginning you go, for naturally there's no save game prior to completing the Mi Ton run. _________________ =Proud Member of the Non-Flamers Guild=

It's not that hard to make the initial money for a best buy/best sell... it's a handful of manual sillicon runs in the mercury (which should be a fat-happy healthy mercury in your case because you didn't strip the express).
Though in my pirate game I immediately set out with the disco and captured a dolphin, ya har. Since I was lucky and it still had its weapon systems intact I used it as a wingman and captured a Bayoman. Sold the dolphin, outfitted the Bayoman with the cheapest weapons I could find, set the Disco as a wingman, and set out trying to capture an Orinocco... did so and sent it back to a dock for repairs and weapon outfitting as I nabbed another dolphin (Why pick on dolphins? because they're slow and have poor agility! Arrr! Stay out of their rear firing arc, though....).
Then I got my free express and promptly ejected (they be complaining at you if you try to switch ships, yar, but nothing stops a control-e! Arrr!! ). _________________ Estuans interius, Ira vehementi

I really, really, really ought to get this game. But I'm really concerned that I'll get so absorbed that I'll never achieve anything else in my life ever again... _________________ Charlie Dobbie
