Inexplicably stunted strength and endurance? |
|
Hey,
In Morrowind, after visiting a dungeon (where I combatted with two blighted shalks and a flame atronach), I've all of a sudden found my strength and endurance to be pretty badly stunted (shows as red in the skills window). Problem is, I haven't been diseased, poisoned, or blighted. And resting even for long periods of time hasn't helped. Nor will a shrine.
Please, any help you can give would be deeply appreciated! |

You didn't perchance pick up a sword called Fury, did you? It does terrible things to your stats... for me the only solution was reload an older savegame and NOT equip that sword the second time around. _________________ Jaz |

What else have you been fighting? |
|
There are many creatures that have "Damage <Attribute>" spells, including such creatures as Bonewalkers. Have you been fighting any of these?
If your attributes have been damaged in this way, go to a shrine of Veloth and ask for Almsivi Restoration. _________________ Charlie Dobbie

Thanks for the help. Fortunatley, I haven't picked up a sword called Fury, but it *was* a Greater Bonewalker, as you thought, cfm. And I went to a shrine and had it cured via Almsivi Restoration. Thanks!
But would you (or anyone) happen to know if there's any spells that would deflect the Bonewalkers damage attribute spells? I now find that virtually every tomb I enter is swarming with these guys, and I can scarcely get anywhere without them thrashin' at me and preventing any progress. |

Yes, i think itīs reflect. But try not to get too close to them. Shoot them with spells or bow. |

Those Bonewalkers are a bit of a nuisance. If you spend any time in ancestral tombs you'll encounter a lot of them.
Fortunately many (if not all?) tombs contain a shine to Veloth, so for 5 gold you can repair the damage. As for prevention though, that's a bit trickier. I believe the standard anti-magic spells should help - reflect, magic resistance etc. Or as D.J. said, stay back, use a bow instead.
There are some items that can help out, the Cuirass of the Saviour's Hide has good magical resistance - check the spoiler forum for details. _________________ Charlie Dobbie
