Tiscali.cz offers an English Demo of Sacred, which has teh same size as the German demo with 242MB.
Local publisher Cenega Czech sent us English playable demo of fantasy RPG Sacred developed by Ascaron Entertainment. Same as Fridays German demo, it should contain two playable characters (the Seraphim and the Gladiator) and 13 quests in the World of Ancaria.
Thanks Ben!

To anyone who gets the English demo, could you please tell me how the voices are for the different characters? In the German version some of them are rather famous and more or less fitting:
Gladiator: "German voice" of Bruce Willis (also Gerard Depardieu)
Dark Elf: "German voice" of Nicolas Cage
Vampiress: "German voice" of Gillian Anderson
Battle Mage: Voice of Milten from Gothic.
Don't know the other two, but they have nice voices as well... _________________ “Through the sounds of falling rain, through the clouds of bitter times

Bleh! Just read on the ascaron forum that the english version has blood and gore(dismemberment) censored to meet a teen 13 rating the US publisher wants for the game. |

Plays well and is very remeniscent of Divine Divinity and therefore Diablo. The inventory system is much like Dungeon Siege and looting is streamlined as well. Had no clue this game existed till this post and now I'm counting the days till release. |

I assume there will be a patch or crack to unlock blood/gore (either official or fan created). If I were to buy the game I'd wait until then. I don't buy censored software.
I can't say I understand the fuss about getting a "T" rating. There's no evidence of "T" rated games of this type doing better than "M" rated games (quite the opposite). That said, publishers can be pretty stupid. |

Apparently the game will already tone down the gore to begin with. No dismemberment to be exact. Sounds kind of funny fighting for horrible deaths, but censorship isn't something to take lightly. Especially when you're in a country that espouses freedom as its strength. |

This game looks great and should be a lot of fun. I can't get the sound to work on the demo, however. |

Just got done playing the demo and wow, this game is fun. I also just preordered it from ebgames. I've never played Diablo 1 or 2, well I played 2 for about an hour and really couldn't get into it.
Also, I couldn't get into Divine Divinity, however I was horribly addicted to EQ at the time and that had a lot to do with it. I think I'll try Divine Divinity again for a fix until this game comes out. |
