My Dreaded Battle: The Vampires in Chap III

**Sigh**

What is it about those !##@#! Vampires!!!

I would rather fight a gang of giant trolls, any tips for me on the upcoming battle?

You'll want Negative Plane Protection cast on all party members. That will make your life much, much easier. Also have some Greater Restoration scrolls handy. Hit fast and hit them hard with False Dawn and turn undead.

Thanks

I will do that, I lost my most powerfull party member (Minsk and Boo) really fast, this opened the door to gang up on my other fighter, then to charge me and my theif in the backround.

I will use this battle plan instead, my magic users need the exersise.

There's a much easier way to deal with them.

- Buy a few scrolls of protection from Undead
- Make sure Anomen is level 14 or higher.
- Use scroll on Super-Cleric Anomen
- Have him turn undead.
- Walk him around watching everything blow into bits without even attacking.

If you feel bad about taking 0 damage, put that necklace of power to use, and equip a helm of charm protection. Then send in Anomen while everyone else takes a smoke break. Bring some potions of healing.

Clerics kill undead. It's what they do. Why deny him this chance for glory?

Good Advice

Thanks, I will do just that, I think I owe my team that much after the beating they took the first time I engaged the vampires in battle.

You never relize how much Minsc, Boo, and Anomen do for the group once they are dead.

Vampires, Beholders, and Mind Flayers are the most party annoying monsters in the game.

I joked about how I was surprised that they didn't put a Vampiric Mind-Flaying Beholder in... then I played Throne of Bhaal and ran into a Vampiric Mind-Flayer. Drains 3 levels a hit after stunning my party AND sucks my brain out? Lovely!
