| Where do I go? what camp is best? |

I FINALY!!! got a hould of Gothic 1!
Ive started playing and have a few Questions. (BTW youve gotta know that Ive played Gothic 2 befor 1)
What is the Basic diffrens between the Camps? What are the advantages / disadvantages? Is it kinda like the Mage,Paladin and Merc. in Gothic 2? Is there enny thin that makes me FAVE 2 join the Sect's later on or somehing?

I tried to search the Forum for ansers... but I gave up, not knowing quite what I should search for.

There is no better camp. Each camp has it's advantages and disadvantages.
Old Camp:
advantage: You'll be able to learn almost everything
disadvantage: later on you'll be forced to join the New Camp
New Camp:
advantage: You can learn 2 handed combat without having to master 1- handed.
disadvantage: It's harder to become a mage.
Brotherhood:
advantage: you'll be able to learn magic when you're a novice, up to the 4th circle (storm of fire).
disadvantage: you won't be able to become a baal or get the 5th and 6th circle
You can get the free armor from Wolf after you have entered the free mine and gathered enough minecrawler plates. If I remember correctly you'll be able to get this no matter what camp you join.  |

I was thinking of joining the New camp...

shuld I just give the List from Ian to Lares insted of Diego?
And what about the two close combat skills? one or two handed? whats the advantages / Disadvantages? Are they the same as in Gothic II? only that the left right method might work better on two here or something?

as far as i know you dont have to join the new camp.You can join the sect i think
os.the best is 2h because you get uriziel the only magical sword in the game and its 2h and uber strong

If I'm correct you can only join the New Camp after being rejected from the Old camp.
As for the sword combat 2 handed if best for all but a mage, a mage can always use a sword and since 1-handed is a big faster and you'll require less strength.
As anything else you'll probably better get 2-handed, because you'll need Uriziel to complete the game. Also after beating Gomez you'll get Innos Rage, which is the strongest sword i8n the game.

Gorath.. I dont mind that mutch... Ass long as you dont tell me the hole storry im OK...
But this might sound stupid but: I need Chees!.. I got the quest form a dude in the ould camp that he needs chees, apples, beer and so on... where do I get chees? ive got 1 chees pies... I need 1 more...

Open some chests belonging to Diggers in the Old Camp, you'll find plenty cheese. |
