I just watched the trailer for this and its supposedly made with in-game graphics. All I have to say is: wow!

Dungeon siege is Dungeon siege.
Dungeon siege 1 sucked (my opinion) So 2 Sucks even more. |

Sure, I imagine it's going to suck but I'm still impressed with the graphics.

Funny how ppl keep thinking an opinion is a statement.
Anyway, Certain games appeal to certain players. I, myself, was amazed by DS1, one of the few games were a developer went away from "OOH1 Shiny....12FPS...time to get better Graphics card" way of things and actually developed something with gameplay.
Granted this was mostly in multiplayer, add 7 friends....away!
The advances in DS2 are inspired by the forums....and judging by some of them, with ppl saying...quote "ds very suck!! ds 2 will be very very very very very very suck !!" I wouldn't be surprised if the developers made it suck. But taking the original DS1 concept, adding flavours from Diablo 2, Morrowind and the likes, they are set this time to make something quite good....Its easy to knock something....try playing it first
If, after playing it you believe it sucks, at least I can respect the fact that you are educated in the field, but only then...
Maybe Rampage was right after all |

The developers at Gas Powered Games have paid special attention to the criticism of Dungeon Siege I in the forums and they have addressed many of these issues in DS-2. DS-2 will feature a more complex story, less linear map, and an overall smoother multiplayer experience than the first release. If you do not like action/rpg's then no DS game will be for you. If you even liked DS-1 a little then I suspect that you will like DS-2 a lot. GPG has put a lot of work into this sequel so I think we at least owe them the benefit of the doubt before judging it.

  Well, after reading the earlier posts i have to laugh, if you don't like dungeon siege why post? Anyhow i like Dungeon Siege and think it adds a lot of interesting stuff and fun, my favorite thing about it is the view distance in dungeons themselves and the imersion into this strange world.
I look forward to DS2 just for more things to do and different lands and weapons, creatures and quests. Should be for some fun. |

I personally think that ds is a great game but all you who dont like it just shut up because all you want to achive is hostile relationships amongst us.or you just said it to gain some more posts and that your number looked bigger

My 2 cents: I like so called "real" RPG's like the BG series, Temple of Elemental Evil etc. and Dungeon Siege is definately simplistic BUT...
Its very addictive and I played the whole thing and part of the mission pack. It was alot of fun. No reason to bash it - it does not pretend to be anything complex. If you wan't complex - go try TOEE, my favorite game!
I'm looking forward to DS2. |

I loved Dungeon Siege 1.
But as i played Dungeon Siege II Beta it appeared to be bad. Maybe cause it was beta...but i didnt like it. I think it would be easier to make an expansion for DS 1, then making a new game. just my personal opinion^^...
