OK, so, here's the situation:
1) we started to gather a team, and things started to go pretty fast
2) we setted up a board to help us keep in touch with the translation, is hidden and only for the translation team and eventually for testers
3) the translation situations looks like this atm:
menu - translated - proof readed (but i guess it won't do any harm to see another one check)
text.d file - translated - proof readed (but i guess it won't do any harm to see another one check)
items folder files - translated - need proof reading
story folder files - almost translated - in work
dialogs folder files - in work (this is the biggest part, having over 5000 lines to translate)
additional text from dialog files - gathering
4) parsing scripts are almost ready (need to parse the dialof files again to mark the texts for extracting/injecting text from/back into.
so, we would need some translators (the many, the better) and some testers.
the testers must have the german version of the addon and preferrably the international version of gothic 2, and must be good at different styles of speech, as they also need to correct it, and not only grammar/translation.
also, all the ones wanting to join the team must have setted up an yahoo messenger, to stay in touch with us.
and, i just decided i'll stay up on mIRC too, 24/24. on an Undernet mIRC server, #gothic2 channel. nicknames: cothyso/adonys/tiamat. If I'm there and not responding, do not forget my time is GMT + 2 (that's EST + 7) and that I can be away from my comp. |

GMT +2? Same timezone as I have  I'll see about the IRC thing still, however the Yahoo cumbayaa does not work, does not let me register an account, not through messenger, not through web page. After all the details are in, it starts to register and it always ends with the message "Cannot connect to server at the moment". Beats me why...
EDIT: Tiamat.. Now I can't place my finger on it, but that name sort of rings a bell, from days gone by. I just can't recall from where.. Was it UO, or AC, or EQ.. Memory aint what it used to be  |

Wish i could help in some way, but the only german i know is:Ich möchte Bier and thats probably wrong cus the only german ive told just giggled and walked away.

status update:
1) the team get bigger, we have now 1 man on scripts and 3-4 translators
2) we set up a hidden board for this translation mod
3) we managed to get all toghether on yahoo messenger, so things are moving a lot faster now
4) i just finished the marking/parsing by hand of the damn 354 dialog files from the dialoge folder
5) if all goes well, i think we are 1 week away from the alpha testing version |

Although I'd rather wait for the English version, cause I want to hear the spoken dialogs, I must admit that you guys have set this up very fast and I'm very curious to see how fast it's finished.

Belive me you don't want to hear the english voices beacuse the german are much better (in the english version i bet that at least 5 people and the dragons have Xardas voice).
Does anyone know when it will be finished?
I just want to say that you guys that are doing this you don't know how much i apreciate this, i would help you but i know very little german in fact i don't even know english that much (but i'm trying). |

Keep on working guys ! I wish I knew some german  . Will this mod work with english game and german addon installed over it or do we need the german game?
