I don't like MMORPGs, since they almost always play out like this ...
1) Open box. Ahh, a new World to play with!
2) Register time, that'll be £15 a week please. ... there goes my padded toilet paper.
3) "Greetin's to you all, I'm pretty new here. Care to show me how things go here? ... ARGH!", "st00pid rper had leet shit", "Wonderful, I thank you.".
4) Quest. I need a quest. Someone give me a quest. For the love of gaia, take me away from the endless level upping and give me a QUEST! Stop the mindless torture!
5) I quit, then mourn the lost money.
I prefer single-player games or games where I select a small party of intelligent folk I know to join me. I don't think it's fun to pay money just to watch how evolution isn't doing it's job -- and to be shown how ludicrously ripped off I've been. It's okay with stuff like Ultima Online, paying the price of the game then using free servers because the chances are you might find one or two that aren't so corrupted with ... ... the dumb. Generally though, eh ...
This applies to all MMORPGs. So unless companies cut the monthly costs, throw in more quests and include strict RP rules (like a lot of MUDs out there), I won't be interested. |

I played on E'ci server for about 7 months. It was a blast when I found the right groups of people to adventure with. Up until then I just went solo. _________________ "Mr. Magee, don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."
