Hey Jaz, just to let you know, I won't be able to include your choices from 7-10, because 1-6 have 10 games in them already. If you're not cool with that, feel free to change it

Top Seven

My top ten... I mean, seven.

1) Fallout 2 -> (A game where you have choice. Great game system.)
2) Ultima 7 -> (In depth world, lots to explore and do.)
3) Planescape Torment -> (It almost got it... almost. But they messed it all! Damn you mainstream!)
4) Fallout 1 -> (Not as good as Fallout 2 in amount of choices, but great game... Ah, great story.)
5) Savage Empire, Martian Dreams and Ultima 6 -> (Cool gameplay!)
6) Arcanum -> (Good story, good idea, but the game feels clumsy.)
7) Ultima 8 -> (Interesting gameplay... a little too clumsy, although.)

I don't know any other game that I feel that would deserve being here... yet, there are many life-simulations and short experimental Interactive Fiction that could count as "RPG", and that I'd put here if I could remember their names.

1. Gothic (I never thought Fallout 2 would be de-throned but nevertheless ...)
2. Fallout 2
3. Fallout
4. Morrowind
5. Planescape Torment
6. Deus Ex
7. Baldur's Gate
8. Baldur's Gate 2
9. System Shock 2

I wouldn't count Thief I or II as RPG's but they are both favorite of mine.

Yup... a tough one... let's see:

Daggerfall
Ultima Underworld I
Shadows Over Riva
Anvil of Dawn
Stonekeep
Might & Magic 6
Lands Of Lore II
Lands Of Lore I
Divine Divinity
Arx Fatalis
Wiz 8
Wizards & Warriors

I'm having trouble putting them in order of preference, but that's very approximate. Definitely, to me, old games were better, as you can see.

Hrm....I haven't played Gothic or Morrowind yet. However, my choices at this time would be:

1. Lands of Lore II (I haven't played the others, but this was my first first-person RPG/Adventure experience.)
2. Planescape: Torment (I'm working my way through it.... Slowly.)
3. Baldur's Gate I (I haven't played the sequel)
4. Deus Ex (Goes without saying.)
5. Thunderscape (I really liked this game. Too bad nobody's mentioned it.)

I guess that's only five. I'll get back to you guys when I get some of the RPGs I'm looking for. I'm trying to budget--limited funds and all.

Well, I'm somewhat new to RPG's, so I don't know if I can come up with 10, but here goes.

1. OutCast
2. Deus Ex
3. Jedi Knight 1 & 2 (if that's acceptable. Choice of Good/Evil, Powers, etc)
4. Gothic
5. Thief
6. Crusader's of M&M
7. Arx Fatalis
8. Morrowind
9. System Shock 2
10. Thief 2

Hey, alright! I came up with 10 after all! I'd love to include Tachyon, but I don't see anyone including Space Combat Sims. For the most part, I can understand why, but you've got to admit that you have a few more choices in Tachyon than in most. FreeLancer may be interesting as well.
