How do I change looks in Dungeon Lords

Hi, I just started to play Dungeon Lords, and it seems to be a fun game.
But how can I change the look of my character? These options appear in
the character generation screen but cannot be used???

Also, I want to play a fighter/rogue/mage type - can I dual wield long sword and dagger, or is dual wield class specific?
