I never said it took me ages to read the text, just that it breaks the immersion (which is one of the biggest things Gothic has going for it).
So, all what you can do about the add-on, considering you do not want to use available means, is to sit there and wait and hope, that it at some point in future will be released. Nothing else. Meanwhile the rest, who do not have such high demands on linguistic features, enjoy the add-on with the freely available tools 
How are they 'freely available?' Last I checked you still had to buy it. Besides, if I buy something, I want to be sure I'm going to like it as much as I think I am, not throwing away my money on something that will frustrate me.
And 'linguistic features' doesn't cut it. If I had such 'high demands' then I wouldn't have bought Gothic 2, would I?

I have to agree on the immersion factor. That might have been my problem with MW. Never could identify with anyone. Just couldn't get into it. If I could afford the german version of G2 with addon, I might, but as it is, I'll have to wait anyway.

In a few days i will find some info about addon.I am not sure for this and if there are good or bad.Maybe this info can help us.
And i guess a release date is 7/7/2004  |

alright first of all its not that hard to learn german from gothic if you can remember the english game and play the german you'll start picking up on it very fast .. i did anyway
and second if the addon is supose to be releast in english in less then a month shouldnt we have been able to preorder it 2 months ago ? |

Look this things is not concretely.
IN one day you dont know what to do and the other day you play gothic.
I have communicate with webmaster of jowood and i ask him to say me info about addon. I think it will not help. But this is sure.!   |

well as i recalwe had rumors likes this about half a years before G2 was releast in english .. me thinks its too early to get your hopes up .. but if it does come so soon then cool |

07/07/04 does that mean Belgium to or just the uk releas in the uk, else I could just buy the german addon, my only problem is that I cant pay via the internet so I hope the addon will be available everywhere the 7th |

ehe i dont think so that it will come out in that date in worldwide out maybe only in UK and we dont know even this if it will come out then to UK maybe its again somekind of rumor date :\ |
