Magic cap of semi-magic users |
|
I just got back into W8 after a while, started a new party combo which I like a lot better. I have a Monk that's doubling as my Psionicist but right now she doesn't have any Psi levels. Is there a magic level cap for the secondary magic users? Main question is, will she ever be able to get spells like Haste and Cerebram Hemmorage? Or will I have to get her levels in Psionicist first...and if so, will I have to get her like 10 levels in Psi to do that? I don't quite understand how the system of spell levels work, at one point I thought it was entirely based on spellbook skill. (Divinity, Wizardry, Psionics, Alchemy...)

P.S. How do you set an avatar on this board now? I noticed some changes were made since I last posted. _________________ -Psyborg

For the avatar, goto profile. The library for selection is at the bottom of your profile screen.
Hybrid casters get access to spells at four levels less than regular ones. This means that your monk will get access to level 1 psionic spells when he/she makes level 5 up to 7th level spells at level 22. Beyond that, there's no difference between a regular caster and a hybrid. They will follow the same requirements:
Spell level / char level / points (book skill + 10% realm skill)
1/1/0
2/3/15
3/5/30
4/8/45
5/11/60
6/14/75
