Need Help - Cant get out of WindowMode

Ok first, my system : WinXp, Gf3 Ti 200, SBLive 5.1, P4 1.5, 512 SDram, 40 gig HDD.

I've played this game on former computer on Win98 and it works beautifully. Now i cant seem to get it running properly on the XP. all vidoe,sounds drivers up-to-date. Problem is, after a smooth installation, when the game is loaded, it will display all the intro movies in WINDOW mode, even when it has loaded up the main menu screen. I cant make it run in full screen mode and my resolution is already 1024X768. Tweaking with it doesnt help either. Thing is, i cant interact with the buttons in the main menu in Gothic at all

So that made it worse. Everytime I clicked anywhere on the windowed screen, my monitor will flash itself, briefly showing the main menu in full-screen and then it reflashes back into windows mode. Dont have anything running in background.

Please help.

I believe there is some connection between function keys (F1-F12) and toggling the window mode... Tried it?

There is also an option in the gothic.ini.
