Please tell me i'm ignorant and am missing something

Sceanrio:

I have an item that's worth 20,000 gold. The vendor is offering 5,000. Great, I'll take it. Now I have to wait literally 10 minutes while my right index finger gets sore holding down my left mouse button as I scroll (by ONES) from 20,000 down to 5,000!

There has to be an easier way that I just don't know about where I can TYPE IN my offer. Please tell me this is so and how to do it..........

You must be hard up for cash, I would trade this item with an enchanter for a kickass spell on my weapons/armor.

I see your problem however and would be interested in seeing a solution also.

I agree--very bad design decision. There is, however, a solution. The vendor you are talking about is Creeper and he never sells the items you sell him. He always has them in his inventory, so what you do is sell 5k, 2k, 3k, etc items first, then sell him your expensive items and "buy back" the other items until he owes you only 5k then sell. Go sleep for 24hrs and come back and sell him back 5k worth of stuff at a time. It is time consuming, but it is doable. I have over 400k in cash now even after making several 80k enchanted items.

My goal is to be a millionaire!

ummm... usually when you click on an item to sell it he gives you the suggested price... and if you dont alter it you just click ok and it will sell for that price... no scrolling needed

The suggested price can always be larger than what the vendor has on hand. In that case you do need to scroll or trade other items. Its a huge pain in the ass

It is a little bit of a hassle. I went to buy a demon katana (10,000). Vendor offered me 5700. Not bad... But I can do better. I scroll and scroll and scroll and scroll...

I ended up settling for 4500... I probably could have got lower... but I got tired of scrolling.

I believe that you can just hold down the arrow key for the scrolling. Still time consuming, but not as difficult as having to hit the arrow each time.
