Uthar and Yuthura (Don't read unless you've finished them)

Spoilers below:

Spoiler:
I got the poison in his bed and gave the man the stuff to damage her (forget what it was). Doubled crossed both. At the end of the tombs I tried taking them both on at once, figuring it was more honest, but there was no way I could beat Uthar alone, even with half his hit points gone to begin with. So I chose to side with Yuthura and, of course, she turned on me after we beat him. But she was a piece of cake with half her hit points gone. I ended up letting her live and she is now running the academy. Is that the best outcome?

If you are playing a light side character, then no, you can befriend her and turn her back to the light side.

It is also possible to kill them both too. The trick to this is to do the planets in the "correct" order. When I visited Korriban I was lvl 19 ...and nothing could stand in my path.

Whilst the game lets you go the planets in any order I think the easiest one to do first is Kashyyyk, followed by Manaan, then Tatooine and finally Korriban.
Trying to do Korriban anything other than last will limit your success when it comes to making heavy action orientated choices.

Spoiler:
Hehe ...by the time I hit the Star Forge all Jedi in my party were long past lvl 20. We actually went 3-legged to give all the sith a chance .... j/k.
Malak must have thought I was Neo when I met him at the end ....

Oh, wow. Now I want to do that. How far back do I have to go? I've got lots of saves. I guess I'll just start at the beginning of the academy. I have 11 in Persuade, but a lot of light points.

I would really like to convert her. Now, how will that play out. Will Uthar remain at the academy or will we put it right out of business. That would be the best result. Can you give me a hint? Do you start converting her before you are accepted in the school or when you first talk to her when you are there? I was so hesitent playing this part of the game. At first I didn't like double crossing anyone, even a Seth. That's how light side I am:)

I went to Tatooine first because Mission's brother was there.

Then I went to Manaan because I was infested with Gizkas and I had read that I could sell them on Manaan. I could not exterminate those adorable little creatures but I was afraid of keeping them around because I heard you can get stuck in them:)

Once in Manaan, I got caught up in Carth's story and headed for Korriban.

Somewhere in all that Bastila and her mom had me crying. What a tear jerker of a game:)

Now I will probably do Korriban over, looking to convert the headmistress. The fighting wasn't too bad here. I had one pretty tough match when I went somewhere with only Mission and the Wookie. I had to restart and go back and get the heavy hitters. Then I found out my problem was that my main character wasn't armed! She was punching with her bare fists. LOL. If you can beat your opponents with one character handicapped like that, the game isn't too tough. However, I don't look forward to doing those two big monsters in the locked room over again. At least I know where the levers are now and can escape for some R&R.

BTW, I've been practicing the mini game but still can't beat it. I think I got down to 3 ships once. If only I knew what I was doing. For a while there I was watching the right side dial showing ships status and thinking it was going towards the red because I had scored hits against enemy ships. Finally it dawned on me that I didn't want to see that dial go to the red at all:)

Then I was watching the left dial (Sensor) and steering right and left using that. I'd have a ship right under my center and be pounding on the space bar, but the darn ship would swim into view again on the side. What color are the dots in that dial? They are white on mine. My friend says the enemy ships show as red on hers.

I'll try again tonight, this time using pause a lot more often and watching the cross hairs on the main screen targetting thing.

This starts after you agree to help her against Uthar.
Then as you complete quests, go back to the academy and ask her about herself. If your persuade is high enough or if you use Force Persuade, then you can talk about her past. Keep talking to her until she calls you "my friend". You've won her over.
Do not betray her to Uthar! Don't even mention the plot against him.
When you come to the showdown with Uthar, side with her. Defeat him together. She'll turn on you and you'll fight her. Defeat her, but don't kill her. Talk to her about turning back to the light. Tell her who you really are and that if you could be saved, then she certainly can too. If you're a fast talker, she'll go back to the Jedi.

Be ready to fight when you return to the Academy, because now you get to wipe out all the Sith there.

Thanks. I should have trusted my instincts not to be a double crosser.

Help!

I turned Yuthura back to the Jedi, but then the game just fell apart. Was I supposed to have convinced Dustil of the evil before doing going to Naga's tomb with Utha and Yuthur?

In the previous game, Yuthura gave me the key to Utha's room after I told him she wanted to kill him and told her about his scheme.

With her as my friend, I figured I'd get the key to the room from her after I returned to the academy. However, she wandered off elswhee. I found some items on Utha's body. Will any of that convince Dustil to side with his dad?

No matter. Carth died. Dead. No resurrection. So I restored and carefully protected him. Then I lost Juhani and my main PC. How could the game go on with that? Carth was the only one in my party alive. I was dragging around two little pictures, but couldn't click on them. Their bodies disappeared. No bodies left. I had Carth search the academy looking everywhere and killing the stragglers as he went.

Finally no one was left except Carth and ...... Dustil. When I got to Dustil I just couldn't have Carth kill him, even though I wanted to see what would happen with only one person left alive in the academy. Would Carth then be able to leave? If he tried, I was told I needed to collect my party. The doornails.

Please, tell me if I should have gotten Dustil on Carth's side before going to Naga's tomb?

If I have the evidence from Yuthura, how do I get Dustil not to turn on me? Will I have to fight him? Will he plead for mercy and give me a chance to give him the evidence. That would be ok.

How do I keep every one alive? This is one awful showdown. I think I should restore to before Naga's tomb (one more time) and go stock up on medpaks and stimulents and grenades. Perhaps I should leave all party members in the ship. Then when I finish Naga and go back to fight the Sith in the academy I might be able to run through them and out the front door? Should I redo it with party members or alone?

Thank you.

Wow ... that sounds a reall mess. I never used Carth after Taris, so I'm completely unaware of that set of events.

I didn't think characters could be perma-killed.

1. You can still save Dustil if you break into Uthar's room and grab the evidence then complete Dustil's quest before taking your final.

2. Dump your party members before taking the final. Once you're done you'll notice that you can switch out party members in the valley. At least I remember being able to do that. I didn't have a problem with them dying.

3. Stocking up on Medpacks is a very good idea.

Thanks so much. I was so happy when I viewed the topic list and saw there was an answer from you.

Thanks! He and Carth are planning on meeting in Telas. I just had Mission break into Uthar's room. I have no security skill at all, so the little lock doesn't show when I knock. I think I'll put a point in that just to get the lock to show up.

I'll dump my party before going on the last quest. I know I can switch the party around in the valley but not for that last quest. Once you tell Utha you are ready you are all transported there. No problem. Again, thanks for the info.

I had 50 of them when I got back to the academy, but ran through them in a hurry. Now I'll make sure I have another 100.

Since I think I'll just be running like h*ll through the academy after I finish Naga's tomb, I'd better free the prisoners there first. I was able to do that after returning when I left Yuthura on the dark side and in control of the academy. But I couldn't persuade him to let them go this time around. I'll keep trying. Sometimes it is just luck.

This section turned out to be so interesting the way the stories unfold. Even knowing I was in a doomed game last night when only Carth survived, it was interesting. I could tell by the music that I was in trouble. Walking around the empty academy gave me a sense of dread.

Oh yes. One more thing. I was walking with Juhani when I clicked on Dak and he turns out to be a friend of hers. He went back to the academy. It would be nice to save him before doing the end thing. Or should I have tried converting him when I was talking to him? I don't remember a persuade option.

I have to take Canderous out for a walk about too. He meets a fellow who challenges him to a duel. Problem is, he won't give me any more stims once he is challenged. That's all he wants to talk about.

I have to admit that Korriban was my favorite planet as well. So many things happen there that just drive you forward.
As for Juhani's friend Dak, no, you can't turn him. Talk to Juhani about it and then talk to him. Seems he wanted to be more than friends and that wasn't what she wanted. So, he left the Jedi and joined the Sith. Now, he'll just wash his hands of the whole thing, Jedi and Sith. It's kind of sad when you think about it.

Yeah, it is sort of annoying when NPCs have their own worries, eh?
