I've arrived at the new camp and have decided that I want to join it. I've sold the weed for Lares, killed the Dam Lurker, beat up Lefty for trying to force me into a job as well as Shrike so I can get a hut. Now I ask Lares if I can join the camp, but he says I've got to "Do my Tasks" What tasks? I've done what he's asked and I am level 5. What is the problem? The walkthrough isn't helping me here so I'm asking you guys. |

You need to get the Test of Faith quest from Diego (Old Camp), then the list from Ian (Old Mine), then give the list to Lares (New Camp), after that return it to Diego.
By the way, wrong forum. I'll move the thread. _________________ Jaz |

Aw crap! I thought that might be it right after I posted this thread. I've already done the test of faith, but I didn't even know of the New Camp then! I only learned of them once I talked to Mordragg, so I guess that means I'm a Old Camper no matter what? Is there anything else I can do?
edit:: The problem is is that I have designed a rouge like character. Sneaking, bow, pickpocketing and lockpicking, and a total loser with a sword. The Old camp ranks seem more "tough guy" oriented, whereas the New Camp is filled with liked-minded rouges and thieves. Will joining the Old Camp with this sort of character be a real detriment? |

Not at all. I was an Old Camp lockpicking specialist/ crossbow guy my first time around, and it worked quite well. Just make sure you use the terrain to your advantage when fighting. _________________ Jaz |

Perhaps, but I must admit that I favored thier ideology compaired to the Old Campers. Mordragg's moving words about drudging for freedom and toppling the Ore Barons from thier thrones was a nice thought. Plus I would have loved the opportunity to collect every single ore protection payment that I missed and shove it all down Bloodwyn's throat! Oh well |

Actually I was an old camp member for, oh, I don’t know, a whole chapter maybe. Until they threw me out, then I joined the New Camp as a mercenary, then quickly joined the ranks of the water mages. I was only a Shadow for about one chapter before I switched to the New Camp. |

Yup..Pico is right.......you can stick to the old camp now. I will not give details but throughtout as the games unfold later on....you will be branded a traitor and the old camp will exiled you. Then you can join another camp.
By that time...you will really want a revenge. |

Excellent! Thanks! I don't mind the spoiler, or really wanting revenge, as long as I get it! |

There will be lots of chaos, confusion , multiple plots unfold and some violence and chaotic group fights ( really fun to watch ) as well.....you'll know it when the time comes
Should be somewhere around end of chapter 3 or the middle of chapter 4.
I was all angry , my heart pounding fast and all emotional and stuff like that..yuck BUT I loved it |

You don't sound as if you've gotten that far in the game. It wouldn't be too much of a pain to start a new file. At least you know what to do now. I myself got to chapter five before realizing that I had been trying to build a well-rounded character too much, and had not concentrated on magic or fighting, thus it was extremely difficult for me to level up, and I was nowhere near the skill level needed for my current quest. I have just started a new file, and am not too heartbroken. _________________ OMG! WTF?! MONKEYS!!!!
