Yippie!!
with that being said, let's move on to some serious questions:
1) what's resting in an inn like? don't tell me it just fades out as soon as you buy the room, cause i've seen this in too many rpgs and it annoys me every time.
2) if you ask two standard npcs about the same topic will they tell you exactly the same (if they would tell you at all), i.e. use exactly the same words? would give them more personality if they wouldn't.
3) have you found some sort of arena where you can fight for money whenever you want (not just 3 fights and you are the champion and can never fight again like in fallout2)?
4) are places like taverns more crowded in the night and the streets vice-versa?
thanks in advance _________________ ---------------------
iplaygames: I had one calendar day in the press copy. I started playtesting it Sunday, 1pm and stopped Monday 5am. During these 16 hours, i logged 16 hours with my character.
This should tell you a lot about what you can expect.
(and these times reflect local time here - so not much sleep before I got to work *g*)
Were you able to accomplish much, within Morrowind; during the sixteen hours of which you played? |

Ok, once again some answers:
Were I able to accomplish much in these 16 hours?
Yes, but i didn't rush things . Much just in terms of having seen a lot, talked to a lot of NPC's, but NOT much regading the complete content of the game.
Resting in an inn:
Let me answer it this way (I am just telling you what I do - you may call me crazy, because not much of what I do is needed regarding getting further in the game, but hell, I am roleplaying - and nothing of what I describe now is in my imagination, these are all game actions in Morrowind): First of all. I do not wear armor when I visit taverns, so I put it off and just walk in with my casual clothing. So I enter the inn, have a short look around to see who's there, then I head to the bar, try to catch some gossip by talking to some folks. Then I have a look at the drinks, get one or two, before I rent a room. The room is unlocked for me, I go there, close the door and put all my belongings into a chest. Then I undress to make myself comfortable and go to bed.
Asking NPC's the same question:
You'll get the same answers most of the time. It depends on how much they like you, but they don't phrase their answers differently, usually.
Arenas to fight:
Haven't found one yet. Don't know if they are in.
Places less crowded at night?
I have seen some NPC's that enter their homes during the night. Some don't. Guards are around all the time. Nice thing: during the night, guards patrol with torches. _________________ Rendelius

But doesn't good armour make you look richer and more intimidating? _________________ Make good choices. |

Well, maybe. But I like to be civilized. If I want to impress, I wear expensive shirts or something like that _________________ Rendelius

wouldnt that depend on the NPC you are trying to parlay with? like if you talk to a regular townfolk you'd have normal clothes on, then talk to a big guard guy and have armor on. |

yeah i got another one:
One of those magnificent things in Gothic was the realistic world..people doing their jobs everyday and at night around the campfire or in their hut resting/or sleeping...working on their houses some people etc...really impressive...is this present in MW too? |

1. How is archery? Is it easy to use as your main weapon?
2. Can you tell a difference between wearing light, medium, or heavy armor? Does heavier armor slow the character down?
thanks for the replys
I haven't tried archery yet. I will
I have the feeling that heavy armor is slowing you down, but this may be subjective.
And about people doing their jobs: well, I have seen farmers that enter their houses at night, but I have seen townsfolk running around regardless of the hour. _________________ Rendelius
