GOTHIC 3: New preview in the PC games!! Check this out!! |
|
Sorry, if I'm overreacting, but this is freaking awesome.
Like all hardcore fans I'm supposed to freak out so here goes!!
Below you can find the links to the 6 (six) scanned pages from the german magazine:
page 1
page 2
page 3
page 4
page 5
page 6
Thank you very much, Diener Beliars for scanning the pages, you're my hero!
I'm probably sued already so I'll post some a little teaser here, in case the pictures are down.

Yeah! I saw those elsewhere and they look even more amazing than the first preview scans
In my honest opinion, Gothic 3 really does NOT have to loook that good, this is just too much
I'd have settled for much less visual splendour. I just want to play more Gothic... more MORE!! |

minecrawler has 12 000 polygons instead of 1200 (gothic 2)... I wonder what will be the system requirements... |

In the preview they say that they are building the game in such a way that it can also be played on a GeForce3. They want it to be playable for every system, so the options menu will include a lot of slidebars to change the settings. _________________ "Who are we to call this planet Earth, when it's clearly Ocean."

GeForce 3 is the minimum. This means people with GeForce 2, GeForce 4 MX, older nVidia cards and the comparable ATI cards are out.
This is a good thing, if you ask me. _________________ Webmaster GothicDot |

Well, the look is good. I just hope that aside the very good looks, they also focus on the story and continue to make it better Main thing is to get it done and release when it's not, not when the publisher wants to press it out. _________________ Been there, done that . . . |

The gameplay will probably rock, so that is covered, but I'd rather it have great story than great graphics. _________________ Join the RPGDot Shadows |

I agree. A rpg is nothing without a great story and a immersive world. Ultima 7 didn't have nice graphics but in my opinion was one of the best rpgs ever. |

No, I played it 5 or 6 years later, but it was great all the same. Great liberty and gameworld.[/quote] |

did anyone saw what it said? 20 cities! it might be that I am behind, but I didn;t knew that, and it freaked me out.
something which did bother me, however, was the face of the orc, on the last page. he looks a bit like Stranger from oddworld now. _________________ Always wondering how it would be... |
