i can't pick up weapons from dead bodies, like the two dead paladins at the gate of the VoM for example.

1)If the inventory of the corpse doesnt opens at all then nothing to be done without cheating
2)If the inventory of the corpse opens but not yours the press Backspace or Tab and try again
3)If both inventories open then press Ctrl or Ctrl and the "right arrow" key
4)If you mean that both inventories open, you press the correct keys for the transaction and still nothing is done then maybe it is a bug or a some kind of an error.
note:it will be welcomed if you could be more specific the other time.

sorry for not being specific, but i can pick up everything from the corpse like cheese, their runes, herbs, just not the swords or other weapons. Everything else works just fine. _________________ durt |

If people are killed holding their weapons in their hands, they tend to drop them, so the weapon will usually just lie around somewhere. If it's a scripted kill, it depends. |
