Do you think it will ever see the light of day?
They seem to have some serious internal problems.

A problem i see with the game is that after 2 years of its release, it could be possible that you see nothing but fully grown dragons wandering around, making the game unfair and unfun for those running classes like drydads (spelling) or humans or angels.
so for the first year i can see it being fun due to the balance of the dragons (6-9 months (in real time) to become fully grown)

If you are following Horizons then you should know that David Allen has resigned from the team. An official statement like this:
"As was fairly apparent to most people reading the design on the web site, this game is technically a nightmare as concepted. We've been trying to trim it to something more doable as time goes on, but eventually things came down to some serious creative differences, there was a ton of wheel spinning, and Dave ultimately stepped back to handle other things"

Well read between the lines I would say.

I have seen things where software architects don't see eye to eye, or change midstream etc. Its not pretty. Its hard to take one persons vision, get a certain percent done, then have someone else take over change the vision and direction. Unless you really just revamp the whole thing to the new guys concepts you are going to end up with a frankenstein beast that doesn't fully implement anyones goals. Gotta figure budget and revenue in there somewhere. I doubt this thing will come to market how anyone has it envisioned. If it makes it on the shelves, I predict it will be panned in the reviews, and a flop in sales.

I can only hope and pray to the good lords of MMORPG's that Horizons will become *the* game in it's genre.

I mean...Everquest was the first 3d accelerated of it's kind, and it was (is?) great I hear but it's getting way too old. Asherons Call is the second great one but it's getting old too (2 years this november already).

And Anarchy Online is...well...just a big mess. Perhaps it will become something solid in several months of serious patching/nerfing and other dismay on a daily to weekly basis.
But so far it stinks.

So you see, I NEED Horizons to be my salvation, ok
It simply *must* rock. period. Or else I'm doomed to play AC for even more years

a problem i have heard with ever quest is you cant Alt+Tab out of it. so you are forced to wait when fighting stuff.
and i agree, i hope Horizons will live up to what its hyped up to.
