Bug or not?

I was in the way searching for the Cloister Focus. I shapeshifted to pass the door and found myself staying in the shape of an ugly meatbug forever, or, at least for 3 hours. How can I change back to be a man? Is it a bug of the game or I deserved to end the game as a bug instead of a hero?

i am amazed that you had the patience to wait for three hours! i waited about 3 min. & went into a furious rage of key hitting until i became myself again.
