Is it possible to for the causer of suicide to be a victim of suicide? I can see how family and friends can be victims of suicide, but saying that about the initiator seems kind of odd. Thats like being a rape victim by way of masterbation isn't it?

The kid is a 'victim' of his mind and his decisions. Let's not get into a semantic discussion of the word. The word can be used as a description of things outside the person's influence as well as those within his/her influence.
